Galvanizing Tank/Galvanizing Kettle/Zinc Kettle

Made of special steel sheet XG08, low C, Si, S, P chemical composition, with characteristics of corrosion resistance and long service life.

Product Description

Each year more than 100 galvanizing kettles are produced in our factory. There are almost no restrictions on the dimensions, shapes and weights of the kettle.
In addition to the classic batch galvanizing kettles , you can also get kettles for continuous galvanizing and spin galvanizing.
Our entire production is under design standard, manufacturing and testing standard, from material selecting, forming to welding and testing.

Features of galvanized kettles

The material we use is XG08, which is the best steel sheet for making galvanizing kettle in China, it contains low chemical composition of Carbon, Silicon, Sulphur and Phosphorus to limit the interaction between zinc and iron thereby lowering the wearing rate of the kettle wall, prolong the service life of the kettle.

We do 100% ultrasonic test to the steel sheet XG08 before cutting.
The galvanizing kettle is hydraulically formed at one time, and the U-shaped structure with no horizontal welds.
Do 100% ultrasonic test to each welding line to the kettle to ensure good quality.
It passed the CE certification in 2019.

Galvanizing Tank/Galvanized Kettle/Zinc Kettle

Usage of Galvanizing Kettle

Once the steel is completely cleaned, it is ready to be immersed in the zinc bath. Galvanizing kettles contain zinc as specified by ASTM B6, which specifies any of the three types of zinc, each with a minimum purity of 98%. Other metals can sometimes be added to the kettle to promote certain desirable properties of the galvanized coating.

The Galvanizing Tank is heated to a temperature of 820-860 F (438-460 C), at which point the zinc is in a liquid state. The steel is lowered at an angle into the Galvanized Kettle and remains in the plating solution until the steel is heated to the plating temperature. Once the diffusion reaction between iron and zinc is complete, the steel product is removed from the zinc kettle. The entire immersion usually lasts less than ten minutes, depending on the thickness of the steel.

When the steel is removed from the Galvanized Kettle, it may receive a post-treatment to enhance the galvanized coating. One of the most common treatments is quenching. The quench tank contains primarily water, but chemicals may also be added to form a passivation layer that protects the galvanized steel during storage and transportation. Other finishing steps include removing zinc droplets or spikes and grinding them off.
